Portillo's Mansfield

First time trying Portillos. I was looking forward to the Chicago hot dogs - but was kinda disappointed. I had expected them to be nice plump juicy dogs - but they were not. Looked like the ones you get at the store in the dollar package honestly. For $13 meals, you'd think they were at least the size of those from Costco. Nope! But let me share some positive notes about them, my kid ordered a rodeo burger- it was a nice size burger with extra thick bacon, onion ring and BBQ sauce. It looked really good.. the fries were fresh as well. The dining room area is open and clean with lots of tables and booths inside. They have a covered patio for outside seating. Overall it's a nice place, I would go again, just don't get the Chicago hot dog meal and expect to be wowed.

Like all Portillo’s, this one is fantastic. It’s hard to find real Chicago style Italian beef and hotdogs here in Texas, but thankfully, Portillo’s is opening a bunch of restaurants in the state. I grew up in Chicago so I can appreciate good Chicago style dogs With real sport peppers and celery salt, which most hotdog places do not put on their hotdogs. I typically get a hotdog, an Italian beef sandwich, and fries. And when you get the Italian beef ask for it dipped, which means they dip it into the gravy and it comes out really delicious and messy. Be sure you get both sweet and hot peppers. The chocolate cake is fantastic if you have room for it, and so is the sausage. This trip, I decided to try the whitefish sandwich after hearing people talk about how good it was. In Chicago, there are a few places that get whitefish direct from Lake superior and make incredibly good sandwiches from it. That’s what I was expecting, and this may be the only letdown I’ve had at Portillo’s. The white fish sandwich here is nothing to write home about, and I would not order it again. It was worth a try, But I will go right back to my staples on the next trip. I can’t wait until they open one in Austin.

I've ordered here a few times and they are consistent! Get the Italian beef sandwich slightly dipped(most flavor)! It will be a bit soggy! Take it home and put it in the oven on 400 for 5-10mins or desired crisp! I guarantee you're gonna Love it!

Best taste of the Italian beef I’ve tasted. It had more flavor than usual. Being a truck driver I am seeing slightly different taste in the beef. Even the coke was well blended. U guys are excellent.

Portillo's never disappoints! So far, everything on the menu has been delicious and well put together. I had the Italian beef sandwich, and it was superb! The service was fast and easy, no wait at all.

Good was absolutely amazing. Couldn't bring myself this night to do a Chicago Dog, just wasn't in the mood so we both had burgers, I had the single rodeo burger. Chargrilled to perfection, has that quintessential back yard barbeque taste which was perfect. Fires are amazing on their own but better with some of that cheese dipping sauce. Onion rings are fantastic but IMO don't pair well with the cheese sauce, ranch would have been better if an option. The chocolate cake was good, I mean nothing to honestly rave about, it was a good chocolate cake though, meaning it tasted about like what you would expect, chocolate cake, chocolate frosting. Cake is light and airy though.

This was my 1st time trying Portillos and man they didn't disappoint.. I had the Maxwell hot dog and it was absolutely delicious.. the polish sausage with grilled onions was perfect.. I also got the onion rings and those were super crunchy.. I will definitely be back here.

We visited this place for first time and ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken burger—both were delicious! The fries were great, and the cheese was tasty. The vanilla milkshake was okay, nothing special. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with a nice and pleasant atmosphere.
